John and Jeff have known one another since the day John started at EDS (Electronic Data Systems) one day after Jeff’s first day with the company. The two worked closely in the nearly three years of their partnership at EDS, with Jeff leading corporate/financial communications and John leading business/industry/major account communications as part of the company’s Global Communications leadership team.
They have maintained a close relationship ever since, and they worked together again in later years when John led global communications for Unisys and Jeff led the account team for Hill & Knowlton Strategies, Unisys’ PR firm.
They love to debate whose beloved football team is better – Jeff’s Penn State Nittany Lions or John’s USC Trojans. Most of all, they love working together and driving great outcomes for their clients.
Jeff began his career as an aide to a Member of Congress. He went on to become a lobbyist for Warner-Lambert, a leading pharmaceutical and consumer products company. He eventually moved on to run an important part of the company's employee communications. Later he became one of the company's primary spokespersons.
His next stop was Lucent Technologies, where he directed financial media relations for the most widely held stock in the U.S. In that role, he served as a primary spokesperson to tier-one media including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and the Financial Times.
Jeff subsequently was recruited to EDS, where he rose to the position of vice president of Global Communications for the $22 billion global information technology services company.
More recently, Jeff has served as a PR consultant with Hill & Knowlton and run his own agency.
John has served in increasingly senior global corporate marketing and communications leadership roles for five Global 50 (Siemens) and current or former Fortune 500 (Unisys, EDS, Honeywell and Avery Dennison) companies. He has also served as head of Marketing and Communications for Texas Capital, a full-service financial services firm, and has led global corporate marketing and communications for a private equity-owned software business.
Prior to his client-side career, he worked for public relations agencies including Hill & Knowlton. He began his career as an award-winning journalist.
He has led communications efforts for mergers and acquisitions across multiple industries and countries, and he has deep experience in financial communications and crisis management.
Through these roles John has led the development of marketing and communications strategies and the execution of these strategies through functions and capabilities including brand, messaging, web and
online, advertising, search, social media, creative services, solution marketing, demand generation, content development, case studies, public relations, events, community relations and internal communications.
